RIVER BAY LAKEHOUSE PROPERTIES

Kawagama Lake is located just east of the small town of Dorset in the Algonquin Highlands of Ontario and southwest of the Algonquin Provincial Park. It is the largest lake in Haliburton County and it borders the Algonquin Highlands Township in Haliburton County and Lake of Bays Municipality in the Muskoka District. Dorset is intersected by Ontario Highway 35 and 117 and is approximately 30 minutes from Huntsville.

The region is characterized by its natural rugged beauty, dense mixed hardwood forests and numerous clear lakes and rivers flowing down from the large Muskoka River watershed to the North. Approximately 60% of the land around Kawagama Lake is deemed Crown land which allows for generous stretches of undeveloped natural forest edges ands and rock faces with relatively few occupied properties in between.
